July 2016

We've join my girlfriend for computer club very thursday for a few years now...and its slowly developing into recipe swapping, health talk, art and so so much more.
Really enjoying the chalk pastels.
We do have many lovely winter days...but this day there were heaps of people stopping to look out to see. Don't we just live in the best place in the world!

Mum! MUM! MUUUMMMM! come look at what we've found!
Can we touch it?
Can we pick it up?
Its got a red tail...does that mean dangerous?

Talk about laugh this little lizard gave us great joy in the afternoon with lots of questions and checking with Dad and the internet.

We have a pine tree which has grown since we have lived here...and now our children can climb it and play under it. This is a favourite spot to go and play for many hours.

My parents often head off for a winter holiday... and bring back LEGO

Watercolour class....
We've been working with watercolour for a few years but its always handy to join in with others. Very inspirational and has jump started us back into art again.

My girlfriends amazing place which is so open and wonderful for share with all the kids. My DS7 just loves it here...pizza oven.

Circus School!!!!
Yahoo such a great activity for the kids.
They have been going for about 2-3 years and the skills they have been developing under the guidance of their WONDERFUL teacher. Ball handling skills, balancing skills, listening skills the list goes on and on....this also lead to DD10 joining in with the Art and Tartan show.
DD10's friend was on his unicycle and she on her stilts.
The class has been slowly growing over the last year.

Minecraft day. During the school holidays there are lots of options to join into activities. A full day of minecraft sounded just like their thing. 8:30-5:00...hummm really was not sure about this...but anyway.
At the same time Nana has been ill again so juggling dropping of the kids and visiting the hospital and catching up with my cousin up from Wellington.
DS7 here was trying out the 'Portal' game...as he was first up and had no idea what was going on he was VERY unsure about it all. He was very quiet about the experience.
DD10 loved it and wanted more

DD10 built a wall around her. Bit over all the stimulus of the day. Very big event for our 2 about 35 kids all playing in the same world.

The Art and Tartan show!!! Wow DD10 really wanted to be a part of the show this year I feel pretty sad that I don't have any photos of DD10 in her outfits. DD10 has been stilt walking for a year or so now and really loves it. She was a seagull and a butterfly. The wings below are half finished. It was great experience. So many of her friends were in the show too...a really big supporting show for our little town. So our 2 weeks 'school holiday' were filled with getting show ready. Lots of rehearsals and late night...lots of excitement and joy watching her friends and family display their fabulous entries. Feeling soooo proud.

Learning to do chalk "board" drawings. I felt a bit daunted about this idea as my brain has been on holiday from art for 10 years. My good friend suggested a walk along the beach the other day. I was a little worried as life has been soooooo busy and we were all very tired...but it was amazing!!! I totally loved it and felt soooo inspired. I can't wait to go back for some more photos. The colours were amazing.
We had a great walk looking at snails, trees, rock pools which looked like they came out of a perfect rock pool brochure. Despite being the middle of winter the water kept asking us to come in. But no! My girlfriend told us her family found a seal the day before. We were not sure it would be there but it was xxx yahoo.
