Preserving grapes

DD8 has been hiding out with DS5 in the grape vine for the past week...so I felt I best get in before they are all gone.

5 grapes with light sugar and tomatoe in baby jars...not sure how they are going to do as I've never used these jars before.

I never know how much I need and the tomatoe sauce goes so fast...so photos

Not sure if all the jars have sealed but we'll know soon.

I'm not a great fan of raw tomato but we all love home made tomato sauce. 

Years ago my mum worked in a canning factory as a young girl...since then she's always made her own fruit, and tomatoe sauce...now I and my family will not eat anything else...yuck!

So growing our own tomatoes is a great thing...also as they come on slowly to start with I can preserve a few at a time not taking me away from all my other jobs.
