April 2016

The last few weeks...well term 1 have just been argh!!!!
To add to our very busy life we almost lost our Nana too. She became very unwell with blood loss. But with the removal of some medication she's come right...odd but yes. So she's here right now watching Stampy and minecraft with DS6 his 1 screen time on the weekend lol.
The photo is of Nana and DS6 after Daves birthday dinner out.

Dave's amazing amazing work on the wall is going so well... Even with a hiccup of smashed finger 😱😮 makes me feel ill just thinking about it...but its healing well.
So on with some Autumn work...for me getting some planting done

Drawing with children - lesson 2

I am absolutely stunned how this book has given us all confidence to teaching and drawing. DS 6 had become very reserved at drawing in front of others but working slowly together he's becoming more confident
This is lesson 1

And this is a very quick lesson 2
Our cat Griffin
While we have worked for a long time with crayons and water colour it really didn't produce the accuracy that DS craved when he looked at his art work.

Amazing Friday

Term 1 I always find really hard.
Lots of 4-3 day weeks, camps, visitors and outings to do.
I never feel we can get settled. And the weather is too good not to spend swimming or outside. So this Friday was a great back to it day.
Lunch after a lovely walk around the Hatea loop track...VERY hot! We did have one little friend crash down...very sad for DD10 her friend was hurt and needed to head home.
But we managed to finish the walk and have some hot chips to finish up.
Then off to the pools. Thanks to the big boys for taking care of DS6 who had a wonderful time. Also DD10 was finally able to enjoy the side with a few mates too. Even though she's 10 she still gets questioned if she's old enough and has been turned away 😖 so good to have some rough and tumble boys to back her up.
Then we all rushed off to
Circus cool
Amazing turnout and both kids now have some of their friends coming along too.
DS6 very proud to practice his head stand. I've got videos but don't know yet how to put them up.
DD10 is getting better and better at the unicycle so the little amazing blond beauty's could be a new act.

Building

I've been trying for ages to get round to building projects with the kids...argh very hard.
But my wonderful girlfriend donated her woodwork table and there has been a lot of craft work.
Ds6 was very low in confidence but Dave and I are working at it. He's so excited to of completed a few projects.

Helpful cat

Dd10 is working hard on her birthday gift for ds6...mr g is leanding a paw

My baby is 10 years

This is just so amazing!
I feel floored that I can put a time on all that has happened. I spend ages looking at my wonderful girl just thinking about what she is and how she's growing and how lucky I am to spend the time with her and her brother.

Our daughter
The lover of yellow, being outside, reading and reading, natural science, chemistry, health, flowers and herbs, reading and reading, being herself! Audio stories and adventure movies. Sleeping cozy. My bird lover.
She would love to have a bird avery, to work at the bird recovery unit, to own more different birds. But her real love is her chickens.

Kefir

We were counting how many pets we have....
Cat
Chickens = 16
Kefir water
Kefir yoghurt
Kombucha x2
Sauerkraut

My girl friends and I have sunk ourselves and our poor families into this 'keeping pets' to the point when we are even at a wedding we talk about it and recipes...lol. No the lovely bride did not get any pets for her wedding gift xxx

Some times I get a little over it all and slip behind like the last few months I've only just been keeping the indoor pets alive (not the cat...he's lord of all).
So I love this site to help me out.
